Year 11s visit New College
On Monday 3rd March, some of our high-attaining Year 11 students taking part in the Step Up programme had the exciting opportunity to visit New College, University of Oxford. The day was designed to inspire and show our students that attending a prestigious university like Oxford is an achievable goal.
The visit included a student Q&A session, a delicious lunch in the historic hall, and a tour of New College. Students were very excited to see the gigantic oak tree from Harry Potter!
The highlight of the day was a fascinating physics lecture, which gave the students a taste of the academic rigor at Oxford. The experience was both motivational and informative, reinforcing the message that top-tier universities are accessible and within reach.Â
