At CNS, we are highly committed to providing our students with information, advice, guidance and education relating to future pathways and careers. As part of this we are working towards achieving 100% in all 8 Gatsby Benchmarks.
Our intention is to ensure students are in a competitive position to secure careers that are stimulating, rewarding and provide financial wellbeing. All students have access to independent careers advice and guidance through an externally accredited provider.
Our careers programme is reviewed annually and amended to meet the needs of our students. The next careers programme review will be June 2024. Each year we welcome feedback from visitors, staff, students & parents
Careers education is embedded into our curriculum across subject areas as well as being part of our PSHE curriculum. Careers Education will help students to prepare for the opportunities, experiences and challenges they may encounter throughout their career journey and adult life.
We are keen to engage with businesses and employers to help us inform and educate our students about the world of work and prepare them for the future. Throughout the year we have several events and activities in which employers can engage with students, these include business lunches, drop down days, work experience placements, careers fairs, CV workshops & more. We are also looking to involve more employers and businesses in linking careers to the curriculum. If you would like to get involved in any of the careers related activities or wish to share apprenticeship vacancies through the school then please contact the Careers Lead, Natalie Pentney email: [email protected] Tel:01603 274000
We welcome past students into our alumni and appreciate their participation and involvement into our school events and activities. For more information, go to CNS Alumni
