Exam Results 2024

On Thursday 22nd August 2024, students at City of Norwich School celebrated with staff after receiving their hard-earned GCSE results, in preparation for their next steps in their education journey.

Students, parents and staff came together to mark the achievements of all the students, who worked exceptionally hard over the preceding couple of years to secure their grades. Students across the Year 11 cohort performed particularly well in English, the sciences and history.

The school is beyond proud of the Year 11s and looking forward to welcoming many of the students back to its Sixth Form in September.

While the academy celebrated with all their students, some of the individual standout achievements included:

  • Head Students Ruby Boulter-Dolder and Ruby Pollard made an immense contribution to the CNS community, and their amazing achievements included twelve grade 9s and 8s across an excellent set of results.
  • High achievers Alice Small, Mattie Whitehead, Archie Stoy, Ben Russell-Grant and Laura Shepperson collectively achieved thirty-two grade 9s and twelve grade 8s.
  • Students Sophie Knowles, Owen Lack and George Sherwin’s resilience and determination was rewarded with fantastic results enabling exciting future pathways for them.

City of Norwich School prides itself on offering a broad, balanced and enriching curriculum which empowers every child to reach their full potential across academic and creative depth, alongside building confidence and happiness. Part of Ormiston Academies Trust, the academy strives to ensure every child has the opportunity to thrive, regardless of their background, by providing the best learning environments both inside and outside the classroom.

“The whole CNS community is incredibly proud of the GCSE achievements of all our students in the ‘Class of 2024’; it is great to see their hard work, determination, and commitment rewarded with such excellent results. Many congratulations to them all, and we can’t wait to see what they do next. I wish each student well in their next steps and look forward to welcoming many students back to CNS Sixth Form.

“I would like to thank our excellent teachers and support staff who have taught and guided the class of 2024 through their school journey. My thanks also go to our parents and carers for their support throughout the students’ time at CNS and hope they enjoy their family celebrations today”.
