Last week, our music department teamed up with Notre Dame High School to tour around Lake Garda in Italy and perform three amazing concerts.
During the trip, the students got the chance to enjoy a tour around Verona where they visited Juliette’s balcony that is reputed to have inspired the famous Shakespeare play scene, visit Malcesine by the shores of Lake Garda, enjoy a day at Gardaland Amusement Park and, on the last day, visit Sirmione where they took a spectacular boat trip around the peninsular.
Each evening the group performed to local residents. The first performance took place at a stunning venue right by the shore in Assenza Di Brezone and the second was in a beautiful park in Grezzana where they were welcomed by the Deputy Mayor of the area. The final concert was performed in the incredible setting of the Cloisters of San Giorgio in Verona and the encore was very emotional.
The musicianship throughout was truly outstanding and the collaboration between the two school communities gave everyone some truly unforgettable experiences.
