Last week, Dr Robert Moles, CNS alumnus and Adjunct Associate Professor at the College of Business, Government and Law at Flinders University of South Australia, delivered an engaging virtual talk to our Year 12 and Year 13 law, politics, sociology and psychology students on the theme of justice.
Dr. Moles, recognized for his expertise in legal theory and his writings on miscarriages of justice, shared his educational journey and career experiences with the students. He provided valuable insights into the complexities of the legal system in both the UK and Australia, particularly highlighting the challenges surrounding miscarriages of justice. His extensive knowledge in this area offered the students a unique perspective that enriched their understanding of the legal framework.
The students found the session incredibly beneficial, and they were given additional resources to delve deeper into the topics discussed.
“The theme of justice is vital for the next generation of leaders and thinkers,” said Kate Ragan, Teacher of Law and Politics. “I hope this talk inspires our students to explore these issues further and to understand the importance of a fair legal system.”
