Students and staff across Ormiston Academies Trust have recently had their exceptional achievements celebrated as part of the Trust’s 10th annual awards ceremony.Â
Selected from the Trust’s 42 academies, the young people recognised for their achievements included two City of Norwich students – Kumi who was awarded the Academic Accomplishment Award and Rebecca who was applauded for her incredible language skills with the Budding Linguist Award.
Held at the Grand Hotel in Birmingham, the ceremony provided an opportunity to share inspirational stories about the many accomplishments of students and staff across Ormiston’s schools. The ceremony’s host for the evening was the TV and radio presenter Amber Sandu. Amber shared with the audience her personal experiences and achievements, before welcoming the award winners to the stage.Â
Year 13 student Rebecca said “The awards ceremony gave me the opportunity to celebrate my achievements with my family, and the atmosphere was very motivating. I enjoyed seeing the range of awards that people had earned“
Congratulations to them both for their amazing achievements.
As well as the two award winners Rebecca and Kumi, we also give congratulations to the two students and two staff members who were also nominated for this year’s awards. Lola was nominated for the Most Improved Award and Year 13 student Vian was nominated for the Inclusivity and Diversity Champion Award along with staff members Ms Cook for the Enrichment Champion Award and Ms Hassan for the Inclusivity and Diversity Champion Award. Well done to all of them!
