Girls' Football

It’s been an exciting couple of weeks for our girls’ football teams, who proudly represented CNS in two fantastic tournaments!

On Friday 10th October, we had two teams compete brilliantly in the English Football League Cup Tournament for Years 7 and 8, narrowly missing out on a place in the semi-finals. A special mention goes to Year 8 student Lola, who stepped up to coach due to injury and did a superb job leading the team. Spirits remained high throughout the day, and despite a few challenging decisions, the girls showed great sportsmanship and represented CNS wonderfully. Winning this cup would have meant the incredible opportunity to represent Norwich City, a goal they will continue to strive for!

The following week, on Thursday 16th October, our students took part in the OAT/NCFC tournament, hosted and organised by the Norwich City Academy boys as part of their BTEC Sport course. Once again, CNS entered two teams, with one reaching the semi-finals. Despite facing some difficult decisions, our players represented the school brilliantly. To top off a fantastic day, students had the exciting opportunity to meet members of the NFCF Women’s team, collecting autographs and some even getting their bags and socks signed!

Well done to all involved for their teamwork, resilience, and positive representation of CNS on and off the pitch!
