Exam Results 2025

On Thursday 14th August, students and staff here at City of Norwich School (CNS) celebrated together the exceptional A Level results that were achieved and which reflect the students’ hard work and the superb teaching received throughout the past two years of their studies. The results enabled them to secure places at chosen universities, on coveted apprenticeships, and selected jobs. 

Students across the academy performed well, with exceptional performance in the Social Science and Science faculties. There were many individual standout achievements including: 

  • Head students, James, Ben, Charis and Iza who significantly contributed to the wider school community and achieved a collective 11 A*-B grades. 
  • Many students who achieved all A*/A grades, making excellent progress from their GCSE grades, and who accepted exciting courses at the top universities, including many students going to prestigious universities to study a range of courses from accountancy to dentistry.  

Individual stories of excellent achievement include:

  • Bethan Dunlop who achieved 2A*s and an A, plus an A* in a full mark EPQ and will be reading Human, Social, and Political Sciences at University of Cambridge. 
  • Luke Chittenden who achieved 2A*s and 2As, plus an A* in his EPQ and will be reading Mathematics, Operational Research, Statistics, Economics at University of Warwick. 
  • Isobel Groom who achieved 4 A*s and will be reading Mathematics at UEA. 
  • Zara Kirkham who achieved 4 A*s and will be reading Psychology at Nottingham next year. 
  • Charlotte Smith who achieved 2A*s and an A and will be reading Biological Sciences (Biochemistry) at The University of Edinburgh. 
  • Eliza Collins who achieved 2A*s and an A and will be reading Physical Education at UEA. 
  • Isabelle Blackburn who achieved an A* and 2As, plus an A* in her EPQ and will be reading Statistics, Economics and Finance at UCL (University College London).

The Class of 2025 are a credit to themselves, their families and CNS, and we are thrilled by their achievements which have enabled students to progress to their chosen university courses, including several prestigious university places, with other students moving on to exciting apprenticeships and employment opportunities. I am very proud of our students and their contribution to the wider school and local community and wish them every success in their chosen pathways.  My thanks to our brilliant staff who have taught and guided our students through their sixth form journey and our parents/carers for their support.”
